Previous trolling?

Is "... though we of course will cannot provide examples of this because we made it up. " left over from a previous trolling incident. It is in the specimin letter. If it is a troll then it needs deleting snd replacing by examples. A M Swallow (talk) 01:01, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

Why is this here?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but this article was initially created in almost complete form by an IP address 173.245.49.82. The recent vandalism was by an IP address 173.245.53.68 which is pretty similar. What are the odds this entire page was created as some kind of false flag? The language in the intro is pretty inflammatory. I've edited some of it. But really I suspect that the same person is behind the two IP addresses, and this page is suspicious.

Maybe somebody with a grievance against this particular operation? Trying to get the wiki as a whole taken down?ChronoAnon (talk) 02:16, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

Looks like what happened was someone sympathetic created the Wiki article using TOR or similar, a bit crassly - we are not calling for Billingham to be fired.

The claim about Billingham's use of 'nigger' and 'faggot' is true. He did write a lengthy blog post about trolling, including using the words 'Nigger', 'Faggot' and referring at length to an image he describes as 'kiddy porn' and used for trolling material. So the OP on the wiki did not make it up. I then edited to soften and remove the intent to get him fired, via my username (Vordrak). Then it was vandalised. Vandal was also using TOR so had similar IP.

It's been restored now. Though I don't know if this would be in the scope of GamerGate--we don't tend to cover Atheism+ related stuff. I think it's on the borderline honestly due to the blockbot aspect of it, but I also don't know how many people support this. Even on the reddit thread people seemed iffy about it.
