'''DiGRA''', or the "'''Digital Games Research Association'''", is a nonprofit organization registered in Finland which "researches" digital games and associated phenomena". DiGRA was founded in 2003 by professor and first President Frans Mäyrä. Mäyrä was succeeded by fellow professor Tanya Krzywinska, who was in turn succeeded by current president Mia Consalvo.They are known to use SiGs, or "Special Interest Groups", to focus their research on certain themes or topics.
